A Family Business since 1978. Bonham Safaris is a small, bespoke and family owned and managed safari operator that has been tailoring safaris to our guests individual needs since 1978 when Patricia and Richard Bonham, brother and sister, first started walking safaris in the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania.
Personal Service Our small safari company ensures one-on-one personal interaction and advice about the safari that will suit you and your family. We arrange your safari from meeting you at the airport to dropping you back at the airport again. We plan itineraries suited to each of your individual requirements and preferences and are pleased to try to work within your budget.
Our Sample Safaris – Luxury Safaris / Romantic Safaris / Active Safaris / Private Guided Safaris /Affordable Safaris. Our sample safaris encompass everything, from having your own private guide and using small luxury camps and lodges in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda to the more affordable safaris using mid – range camps and lodges. We recommend that guests fly between the camps and lodges, utilising schedule flights if available, but alternatively private charters if necessity demands. These flights are safe, comfortable, a great way of seeing East Africa by birds eye view and actually cheaper then arriving bruised and battered after 6 hours in a vehicle on an East African road. In 2009/2010 A Kenyan Safari through Bonham Safaris costs between $500 and $700 per person per night, all inclusive. The rate varies with the kind of camp or lodge that you choose to stay in and is inclusive of your internal schedule flights and vehicle transfers. Tanzania is a little more expensive, and Rwanda, though very affordable has Gorilla trekking permits at $515 per trek, before you have added on your accommodation and transfers…Please contact us for your own personal costed safari.
Rwanda We have now expanded to also offer safaris to Rwanda for Gorilla and chimp trekking and a very popular combination is Kenya and Rwanda, Kenya for our amazing wildlife and Rwanda for her Gorilla trekking and culture. The Future
In 2010 the company is opening Bonham Safaris Southern Africa, and this will be the start of tailor made safaris in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique.
